Slow Down
So this is my way of starting over. I think I was concerned for a long while about being ok for other people. Now I am just happy being nobody. This isn't true, but I have determined to make it true. I go to work now and no matter what is said to me, or how hard of a day i am having I show no emotion. If people ask me if I find it hard to work with anyone, I say no I enjoy working with everyone, because I know that this is just their way of finding some new gossip. I am reading books that set my heart and mind on fire, books I want to broadcast to the world, but I won't. I have many things that I want to say, but have decided to be quiet. I am asking questions now just because I sincerely want to know what people think, not to set them up for the one two punch. All of this is new to me and might not seem like much to some, but this is very much to me.
I hope if any venture across this site, they may come to know the Love of Jesus Christ, whom I call Lord and Savior.

hey,
I think your blog is great... wish I could read your Xanga stuff. I can understand where you're coming from when you talk about it being easier just not to display emotion with people. It seems like you have so much to say though, so much that God has placed on your heart.
I'm stealing a line from a Toby Mac song... but I think you should "Shout it from the roof tops".
I don't really know your situation, but I just wanted to encourage you. I'm not too good at this kind of thing... but I just know God has great plans for you.
Mmm, I think we all need to start over every once in a while. While quietness and introspection are beneficial for a time, as humans and as Christians we are called to give of ourselves to others, whether of our time or our ideas or our thoughts. Keep up the blogging!
i relate completely.
hey, found your blog through Rich Mullins. A good post indeed. It is definitely good to step back and take a look at things, helps bring clarity to the whole picture.
I also noted that you like The Everlasting Man (I'm a G.K. Chesterton fan, The Man Who Was Thursday), I haven't read EM yet, but I've heard it was his masterpiece.
Anyway, God bless, and great blog!
James, I found your post through your books. I really like your thoughts, your sincerity, and your way of expressing yourself. I'm wondering if it would be okay for me to post a link to your blog on my own. you can see it (and contact me) at marcimcpherson.blogspot (etc), then follow the link to "something to believe in" I also tried emailing you at your yahoo address found in your profile - so if you got that, you could email me back there. Thanks.
